JKIA Flights Update

BREAKING NEWS!

8th August, 2013

The Domestic flights are operating from the Cargo terminal while international flights are operating from Unit 3, due to the shortage of airport facilities after the fire breakage at the Airport.

ETIHAD AIRWAYS
Etihad Airways has canceled its daily flight from Abu Dhabi to Nairobi due to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport fire. Flight EY 641 scheduled to depart Abu Dhabi at 09.40 and Flight EY 642 scheduled to depart Nairobi at 14.25 have been canceled.

SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS
SAA has therefore canceled all its scheduled flights on the Nairobi and Johannesburg route. They would also like to advise passengers wishing to cancel or reschedule their flights to take note of the following conditions.

Rebooking on the next available flight (same cabin / same booking class) subject to space availability
All date and flight change fees will be waivered
This allowance will apply to South African Airways tickets only and not on any other airline tickets
The offer must be taken up and tickets re-issued through an SAA office by 12 August 2013
If you are moving to a later date, all such travel must commence on/before 21 August 2013

EMIRATES AIRLINES
The following options are available to EK passengers and Skywards members already ticketed to travel to/from Nairobi and who now wish to alter their travel plans due to the cancellation of EK flights;

· Rebooking; re-issue and cancellation charges shall be waived for pax ticketed to travel on 07Aug13.

· Rebooking shall be made onto an available flight to the same destination for travel on/before 17 August 2013 and in the same booking class. This will be at no additional cost to the passenger and if required, the validity of the ticket may be extended.

Tickets must be re-issued by 15 August 2013.

· Passengers who wish to cancel their trips may have their remaining coupons exchanged for an eMD / MCO for future travel on EK or fully refunded provided there is a residual value remaining

· Skywards members who wish to refund their tickets may do so without any cancellation charges.

· Skywards reward tickets which are unutilized or partially utilised can be rerouted to other EK destinations in line with commercial ticket policy at no additional cost to the member.

BRITISH AIR
This is to inform you that Flight BA065/08AUG LHR NBO has been cancelled and consequently BA064/08AUG NBO LHR will not be operating until further notice.

ETHIOPIAN AIR
All flights are canceled until further notice.

RWAND AIR

All flights are canceled until further notice.

AIR UGANDA
Air Uganda flights will be departing from Wilson Airport (ALS terminal- about 1.6 kms from the main gate to the right) until normal operations resume at JKIA.
